Wedding invites with photos of the bride and groom or something appearing romantic and special to the couple is becoming increasingly popular these days. The invites become a tad bit more personal this way. However, the picture does not have to be of the romantic sort as some people like to take it a little more casually by making their wedding a bit more fun. This can be in the form of a comical photo leading the guests to think that the wedding will be a fun shindig to go to. The photo you use really depends on you. This being the case, here are some tips on how to create your very own custom wedding invites with a photo plastered onto it. • Select or take a photo. The first thing that you should do is to choose the image you want instilled onto the invitation. This could be an old photo of the couple or a newer one. It really does not matter at this point for as long as the photo is digital. This means the photo has to be saved on your computer. Now, if the photo is printed on photo paper, then you may need to scan it to make it a digital file however; it is not highly recommended to use scanned photos since the quality is not that good at all. If that is the case, then you may simply consider whipping out your digital camera and taking snapshots or by simply going to a professional photographer and having the picture tastefully done. Whatever is the case, make sure that you have the photo save on your computer. • Insert the photo onto the wedding invite template. As soon as you select the photo you want to use for the invite, open the actual wedding invitation template. You may have used MS Word, MS Publisher, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, or Adobe Photoshop. Well, it really does not matter for as long as you are able to insert the photo onto the template. When inserting the photo, you may need to resize it to fit the dimensions of the area for the photo. Furthermore, you may want to edit and modify the colors, brightness, and hue of the image especially if you plant to write text over it. In any case, insert and modify the way you like it. Save the project afterwards. • Print the invite. Once the invite template has been saved, you may want to print a test invite to see how it looks. Place in the paper into your printer and print. Now, since this is a wedding invite, you may want to use nice paper. Photo paper or cardstock will be your best options. Of course, make sure that the color of the paper you use is in line with your color scheme. If the test print is a success and you like how it came out, you can now proceed to print out multiple copies of the invite. Now, if you want your invites professionally printed, then you will want to bring your design to a printer. They will use two separate printers: one for the picture and one for the text.
