There aren't a lot of things I would gladly stand in long lines waiting for, and after my last time of doing it I realized I could find a better way to shop. He didn't seem to mind that I had decided we would wait in line for a few hours. The cutting edge TV that we had our sites on made it all worth the wait. Before we could get a chance to get what we were looking for, they were sold out. Heading back to the house, we laughed about the way we had lost the 'battle of the crowd'. The time that we had spent together was a nice chance for us to bond, but I have a sneaking suspicion we both would have rather bonded over a day at the lake. When we were in line I kept eavesdropping on the people behind us talking about how they could have used their Newegg coupons. I didn't know what they were talking about until I got home and found it on the computer. The first item I saw was a TV that had prices similar to the sale that we had waited in line for. It was sort of funny to me. We could have just stayed back at the house. I could get more than the TV on this site. For the next 45 minutes I sat there and browsed through the different deals. I decided to go ahead and buy the TV that my son and I were planning on buying earlier. After that I picked up a new camera for my wife. There was a wireless toy helicopter that I decided would be a cool random gift for my son. I figured it would be something he could have some excitement with outside with the dog. When I gave my wife her new camera she was really surprised. For the proceeding few weeks I'd been listening to her talk to her sister about getting one. The problem was she always wanted me to go to the store with her to get one. During the work week I am lucky to get home, eat dinner and kick off my shoes. Each day seems to fly by and before I realize it the entire week is over. In order for us to get the camera my wife wanted we would have had to drive out of town nearly 30 miles away. There always seemed to be a lot of other things on the to-do list on the weekend. It was definitely nice being able to sit there in the comfort of our home and shop with the wife. Within the same week a couple boxes arrived at our doorway and we had all that we had ordered. My wife took some really fun pictures of our dog chasing after my son's new helicopter. As for me, well I got a chance to sit back and enjoy one of my favorite sitcoms that I hardly ever get a chance to watch.
