After agreeing to get married my, now ex, fiancé and I were going to fly to Spain for an amazing honeymoon. The Gothic design of Spain and the people of the land had really influenced my dream to be able to go. I hope you noticed, I use the words 'ex fiancé'. While we were booking the caterer he got cold feet and called the wedding off. After taking some time to nurse my shattered heart, we repaired our friendship. My parents were planning on giving him and I a pretty decent sum of money for a wedding gift. Considering that we were not going to be married, they handed the money to me. That realization entered my head often. By just simply focusing on where I was right then, I was able to become absorbed in my delightful travels and realize how wonderful everything really is. By calling off the wedding, he had allowed me to have the freedom to explore my dreams completely. By making this voyage I not only learned more about my art, I also did a lot of reflecting and discovered new aspects of who I am. All of the many things that I witnessed and experienced helped me feel like one with the world and provided me artistic direction.
