Aluminum metal looks like white and silvery in color. Value of Aluminum goes up due to its properties. This metal is well-used as the low-density and corrosion resistant substance. This corrosion resistance property is seen in this metal due to the layer of aluminum oxide formed on the surface of the metal while it is open to air. This metal does not get dissolved in alcohol. It is also non-sparkling and non-magnetic in nature. Origin of Aluminum is from the principle ore, Bauxite. This metal is mined from the Bauxite with the help of open-cut techniques. With the help of Bayer process, Bauxite is purified. In any industry, this metal is used as it has a light weight property. Aluminum is not only popular metal in the industry but also its use is very wide in domestic font. The use of this metal is wide for its versatile property. Due to its properties like good thermal and electrical conductivity, high reflectivity, lightness, tensile strength, malleability, it can be used for buildings, aircrafts, electric wires, food storage containers, and also in other places also. Due to its malleable property, it is fabricated into aluminum sheet. This plate can be used as rods, wires, tubes, foils, shapes. Depending upon the different level of thickness, this aluminum sheet is used in different commercial and domestic purpose. In extreme temperature, these sheets do not get worse. But cutting aluminum sheet can be very dangerous or little tricky if you do not know the proper technique. Cutting sheet with the combination of jig saw and file could be better where file would work on the edge cleaning. A wood saw with the hack saw blade at its edge can be another option. You can use drop saw with fine saw blade for cutting aluminum plate. Fast rotary saw with tungsten carbide tipped blade would be highly effective in case of cutting aluminum plate. Avoid using angle grinder, which can toughen the edge of the sheet and also can damage the aluminum. Do not forget to wear gloves and sun-glasses; as during work, shards can harm you. Carpenter saw is also good for cutting sheets.
