A car tracker GPS is fitted in to a car. It captures the GPS location information to a central serving device at a particular point at regular interval. The information can include fuel quantity, engine coolness or warmth, height above sea level, door opening and closing, tyre pressure, ignition turnoff and turn on light turn off and turn on, battery condition, number of GPS satellites in view, glass open close, amount of available fuel, emergency button status and frequency of stops among others. The success of the tracking system will be determined by the capability of the car tracker GPS. The GPS has a tracking server with powerful intelligence and dominant configuration. This server regularly undertakes two major responsibilities. One major responsibility of the GPS tracking server is to receive and securely store data delivered by the GPS tracking element. The other major task is to provide the information that has been securely stored when demanded by the user. The user or operator of the tracking server accesses the data for assessment. Only the important details of the data gathered from the car tracking GPS by the tracking GPS server is summed up to obtain useful information. There are some other systems that are incorporated into car tracking GPS to enhance their car security. The Lock out system, transponder and the microswitch may be incorporated for security purposes. A lockout system is activated when a driver ignites the car or upon carries other specific actions. In case the car’s acceleration drops/raises to certain limits or the car stops all the vehicles doors will be automatically locked to prevent to any case of car theft. A transponder system may be attached to the car tracking GPS. A transponder is carried by the driver and can be concealed through pocketing due to its small size. When the gadget carried by the driver with the gadget is parted with the car it is assumed that hijacking may be taking place and the car is disabled. Another system is the microswitch which is activated when the doors of a car are opened while the engine is turned on. This can be enabled and disable by the drivers to their convenience. The above three types of systems are commonly used with the car tracking GPS to prevent cases of car hi jacking
