The day before yesterday, I have a lucky chance to get a nike free run, actually speaking, its natural motion was created to increase the strength of the foot and ankle and the range of motion in foot joints, improve balance, plus deliver the benefits of running barefoot to concrete and asphalt. This new design mimics the anatomy of the foot and the cutaway; layered paneling represents the muscles, tendons and ligaments. Synthetic micro suede amplifies the lifestyle potential of this modern performance classic without adding bulk, and reflective lace hits increase visibility. The nike free run 2 hugs the foot with a dynamic sock-like fit, overlay upper construction with applied breathable mesh, asymmetric lacing to decrease pressure on the top of the foot and center-of-pressure heel geometry. A BRS 1000 carbon rubber outsole, Waffle pattern pistons and solid rubber reinforcement means an incredibly light, flexible, naturally neutral ride that’s free of excess. Strategically placed flex grooves on the sole were created in line with the NSRL’s biomechanical learnings. The results? Amazing flexibility on all axis! The downside is that little pebbles or rocks or debris get caught and are hard to remove while running. Nike also added extra rubber in the heel and up in the toe where you need additional durability and traction when clawing off the ground. Embracing the urban metropolis’ found in these locations, on each of the five color ways, a speckled grey Phylite midsole talks to the surfaces of a city offering a point-of-difference from white soles easily dirtied during daily activity. Executed in the local aesthetic of each city, these aren’t the usual running shoe shades. The lacing system is non-traditional – it’s a hybrid between a glove and traditional lacing. The asymmetrical lacing system helps to reduce pressure over the top ridge of the foot for enhanced comfort. The full inner-sleeve construction provides a dynamic, sock-like fit that hugs the foot, but still allows for easy-on and -off. You could probably remove the shoe laces and converted the nike free run into a slip-on running and walking shoe! There are welds underneath the overlays that replicates the tendons in your foot, giving you the support just where you need it around the arch and also in the heel. The inner sleeve inside the shoe really hugs the foot. This information enhanced my understanding of Nikes’ comfort and added support.
