Batteries may be used to power LED bicycle lights. Batteries are not widely used to produce LED bicycle lights. This is because they are not long lasting. There also may be no enough space for its accommodation on the bicycle. Batteries may get worn out without giving any alert sign and may inconvenience a rider. A rider may be forced to rider in darkness especially if the batteries are not rechargeable or there are no available sources to recharge from. Dynamos are another source of power to LED bicycle lights. Dynamos work in the same way as electrical generators would. There are three types of dynamos which are the hub dynamo, bottom bracket dynamo and bottle dynamos. The most commonly use dynamo is the bottom dynamo which is attached between the chains and the bottom bracket of a bicycle. The bottom bracket dynamo roles against the tyre of a bicycle to producing an alternative current which powers the LED bicycle lights. All the above types of dynamos are dependent on a moving tyre of a bicycle to produce energy. All that is needed for LED bicycle lights to be powered by a dynamo is cycling after turning it on. Although the power output of a dynamo is quite slow it has an unlimited duration in comparison to batteries. The amount and strength of light produced by LED bicycle lights depend on the source of power. It is advisable to use the source of power that will always be available when need for lights arises. For those in situation that demand usage of powerful LED Bicycle lights it is always a good ideas to use the appropriate and reliable sources of power. Various factors may limit the usage of LED bicycle lights. These limitations are laid to enhance consistent safety. In some countries use of some LED bicycle lights is not allowed. In others, the use of LED bicycle lights is limited and should only be used when needed. Some people might decide to use this light for exaggerative decoration. It is not advised as it might create confusion to others during rides.
