Every time that I go shopping I go right to what I'm there for then I leave. I don't spend extra time wandering around, looking at all the different things to buy. The way I look at each trip is similar to a mission. I like to keep a good pace and make sure that I finish my task fast. Last week my sister gave me a couple of walmart coupons online for some jeans and a new shirt. Clearly she had decided that I was past due on buying myself something new to wear. She also knows that I enjoy spending my money almost as much as I like shopping. If it were up to me I'd wear the same jeans each day until there was nothing left of them. My sister wasn't the only person that had mentioned something about my appearance. My best friend had set me up for a date with a girl he knew fairly well. After seeing that I had on the same clothes he started making fun of me. He wasn't the only one either. The typical people I see throughout the week had even started looking at me a little funny. Normally I don't even notice things like that. I typically figure that it is a good indicator that I better go home and take a long look in the mirror. This time around I figured it was my clothes and I needed something better to wear. My typical hunt began as soon as I entered the store. Get the same style of jeans that I normally wear. I don't even bother to see if things fit. The best thing about this is that I never need to wonder whether or not I'll enjoy what I buy. Picking out a shirt wouldn't be too hard either. As long as it would fit me I was good to go. As I walked around the store I began remembering how the date went that I was on the other night. It was immediately obvious to me that this woman valued fashion and enjoyed pampering herself. She and I had a fun time sitting at the local pub playing darts and pool. I asked her on another date and she agreed. The longer I was at the store the longer I continued remembering the date. Instantly what I was going to wear became a whole new meaning. I didn't even understand how to begin shopping. Even though I see people every day, I never look to see what they are wearing. I looked around the store and felt a wave of confusion hit me. A sales associate must have seen the wave hit me. I'm sure I came off like a cat in a house full of rocking chairs. When I told the young girl about my situation she easily pointed me in the best direction. Shopping for my new outfit didn't end up costing me anywhere close to what I expected. The second date was a wonderful experience. Although it was a nice thing to be told that I looked good, it was even better to know that we were going to be going on a third date.
