When I enter into a store I like to get what I'm there for and checkout. I don't spend extra time wandering around, looking at all the hundreds of things to buy. Every shopping trip is a mission for me. I like to keep a good pace and make sure that I complete my task fast. By handing me some walmart coupons online, my sister thought that I would spend some time shopping. I guess she finally decided that I needed a push to get myself some better clothes. As a sibling, she gets that I run my spending as tight as I do my shopping trips. If it were up to me I'd wear the same jeans each day until there was nothing left of them. Apparently my sister wasn't alone in noticing that I had been wearing the same clothes for awhile now. A few days ago I had been preparing to go on a date that my best friend had hooked me up with. He took a long look at me and immediately started laughing. It didn't just end with him. I could begin to tell that I was getting odd stares from some of the people I see often. It's not like me to even take the trouble to pay attention to what people are looking at. So when I begin to, I know it's almost certainly time to get a haircut or something. Considering that I had just shaved that morning, I knew it had to be the way I was dressed. When I made it to the store I was on my typical mission. It wouldn't take me long to find an identical set of pants. And, I didn't need to see if they would fit me the correct way. Shopping like this has its perks. I always know that I'm going to be content with my purchase. Picking out a shirt wouldn't be too difficult either. As long as it would fit me I was pleased. The more I looked around the store, the harder I thought about the date that I went on the other night. The friend of my buddy clearly appreciated style because she was very fashionably dressed. The date was actually a lot of fun. We went bowling and had a couple of drinks. I asked her on another date and she said she would be happy to. Walking around the store I kept thinking about my date and my possible long-term girlfriend. Instantly what I was going to wear took on a whole new meaning. I didn't even understand how to begin shopping. It's not as if I really even paid much attention to what people considered cool. The sales clerk must have caught wind of how out of place I looked. I bet I looked like a deer caught in the headlights. When I told the young girl about my dilemma she easily pointed me in the best direction. Shopping for a new outfit didn't end up costing me anywhere close to what I expected. Our second date was a wonderful experience. When the she told me that I looked great, I almost fell of my chair. Then when I found out she wanted to see me again, I actually did fall. I played it off as if there was something slick on the floor. I doubt she believed me.
