Under cabinet lighting is another way that 60 watt halogen bulbs can be used to enhance your household lighting. By installing halogen lights under the cabinets you can create a bright work area for food preparation. Halogen lights can also be used in overhead lighting in the kitchen to produce a clean white light that highlights your cabinets and appliances. 60 watt halogen bulbs can also be used in decorative lighting. Similar to incandescent bulbs, halogen bulbs can be produced in many different shapes. Decorative light bulb shapes can add visual interest to candelabra style lamps and other types of lighting. Halogen light bulbs can also be used with dimmers to create a more customized look for your lighting. 60 watt halogen light bulbs can be used with standard household dimmers that you may already have installed for use with incandescent lighting. Using a light on a dimmer can allow you to customize the amount of light output to the situations.
