Do you have a list? It would be very difficult to create any income online with out your own subscriber list. Those who do have a list are more likely to make more money than those who don’t. List building must become your number one priority as an affiliate marketer.

We all know that when you fill in your name and e-mail to receive more information or to collect something for free you will be on someone’s list. You are giving that person permission to send you e-mails with out spamming you. They have collected your name and now you become part of their list.

This isn’t just collecting people’s names and then forgetting about them. This will be your list for as long as they decide to stay with you. Building a relationship with them is an essential part of your business. The only way you will make money from your list is if they trust you.

This is done by sending out e-mails you have made up and sent through your auto responders. When you are surfing sites online and you find one that is giving away great products or information, grab them and give that information back to your list. By giving people valuable information that will save them time and money will keep them eagerly awaiting more e-mails from you. Let them know about the tips and shortcuts that you have learned through your learning process online to build up their trust and confidence in you.

The more times you can get people coming back to look at your site the better the relationship will become and therefore willing to take your recommendations to buy from you. Provide valuable information to them in the beginning then in time you can start promoting your products or services.

Having a big list isn’t really the most important thing, having quality people is what you are going to strive for here. You want to attract others who are looking for what you have to offer. Do not think this is going to happen over night though. Even if you only start to get a few opt ins in the beginning is great. Just think about it like this, after a month you will have 60, then think how many you’ll have 6 months down the road. By consistently building a list you will always have people to market to.

Your ability to build a strong following of interested targeted subscribers is going to determine your amount of success. So make it as easy as possible for others to subscribe to your list, keep it short, sweet, and simple, all you want is their name and e-mail address. Make sure you give them an offer that they cannot refuse.

Remember the money is in your list. If your only intent is to get those names and make money off them, you will not become successful you have to develop that relationship with them first, to prove you are trustworthy.
