Just what will the new Wii Include? With so much anticipation of what the new Wii will look like when the first few pictures of the new Wii controller, screen, and HD graphics started to leak out plenty of people nearly jumped for joy. Despite the fact that the idea of a screen that is actually built into the controller seemed a bit out there to many gamers, the idea that it is still a new generation of gaming was too hard to pass up. However, once the dust and excitement settles down around the new unit most people are wondering if the gaming system will be all that it promises to be. The first thing up for debate is the name of the new system, which is following the Wii trademark and brand still. Of course, given the fact that the name Wii has helped them sell millions of gaming consoles this is not all that surprising, but it would seem that at times it may get confusing since a Wii-mote is now going to be a completely different than the tablet controller. However, so it is and for now at least, it seems as if Wii is going to become two very separate things. The next concern of the gaming system is whether or not it will offer third party support for its games and network play, but at least in the short term Nintendo seems to have voted no on this one. While some thought that games such as Battlefield 3 would be announced for the new innovative device, Nintendo was quiet instead only announcing Batman: Arkham City which was met with some cheers but still is not all that great. After all, for such a new platform you would have thought Wii would have chosen a new game that was set to stimulate and titillate the crowd, but then you would be wrong. Finally, one of the largest problems with the hardware may be the fact that it is not all that cutting edge and frankly looks a bit more awkward then it does cool. In a way, it reminds you of cars such as the hatchback or station wagon which are meant to be practical spacey cars, but in the end, end up being cars that only your mother or grandmother would own due to their pathetic look and long bodies. Therefore, while the new Wii device may appeal to some children and adults who desperately want to seem cool; most gamers are not going to instantly find themselves drawn towards the device. The actual clunky size is one major problem, and if there is any weight to that device there will only be more problems. How it works for first person shooter games is also a large question as well as the battery life given the fact that if you can only use the device in your hands, a short battery life would pretty much set it up for failure.
