To process any metal in the workshop, we need the expertise of metallurgical and mechanical engineers. People from metallurgical stream process metals like cobalt, stainless steel, magnesium, copper, nickel alloys and titanium in the workshop and they come to know each and everything about the metal. Among different metals, we will particularly focus on 6061-t6 aluminum and aluminium rods. 6061-t6 aluminum is available in the market as the most heat treatable metals. Moreover, when we talk about aluminium plates made from 6061-t6 aluminum, then it can be used for the production of heavy-duty structures. Moreover, this kind of plate is used for products like railroad cars, general structural and high pressure applications, truck and marine components, pipelines, tank fittings, and wire products. When it is the matter of Aluminium rods, then they can be used as the connecting rods in the combustion engine. Now when the matter of processing of this kind of product comes into the focus then we need to consider the machinability of the metal. When this product is machined with the process of machinability of the metal, then it can be processed in the annealed temper. If we consider the process of forming comes into the fore focus then stamping, deep drawing, spinning, bending etc. should also be considered. This kind of formation takes place in the annealed condition. When the matter of welding comes into the focus, then in the workshop normal welding machines are used. Gas tungsten arc welding is considered for thin section and for those products which are less than 0.032 inches in dimension. But gas metal arc welding is considered for heavier sections. While it is the matter of alloy 4043 filler wire, then it can give better result for the decrease in T6 properties. While we talk about heat treatment for this kind of metal; then heating is done at 990 F for ample amount of time. And after that, this procedure has to go under the water quench treatment properly. Then precipitation hardening comes into the fore focus, and this kind of treatment is done at 320F for the time of 18 hours. After this procedure, air cooling is done thoroughly. After this particular procedure, precipitation hardening is accomplished at 350 F for 8 hours. After that air cooling is done properly. Then the matter of forging comes into the picture and this process is done at the temperature range of 900 F to 750 F. After that hot working takes place at the temperature of 700 F to 500 F.
