No matter how much we clean, wash and disinfect everything in our home, there is no way of getting totally rid of the nasty microbes. However, there are some places where such microbes can make their own “party” if we do not stop them. Maintaining the house cleanliness is important in order to reduce the risks of health issues and allergies. A professional cleaner Kingston shows you some of the places that microbes love and some ways of how to disinfect them. Kitchen sponges. The kitchen sponges get dirty easily as they have contact with all kinds of food leftovers and much of moisture. That is why they become one of the favoutite places of the microbes. Change the sponges regularly and disinfect the one you use with pure lemon juice every day. You can also put them in the microwave oven for about a minute. This will kill most of the microbes. Keep the sponges in a way that will allow them to dry between the uses as water creates the perfect environment for microbes to evolve. Kitchen sink. The food leftovers on the walls of the kitchen sink may easily transfer to the dishes you wash which could lead to serious health issues. Clean all the surfaces every day with a proper cleaning detergent and with an abrasive solution once a week. You can ease your daily cleaning of the kitchen sink and surfaces by filling a spray bottle with the cleaning detergent you usually use. Just spray, wipe and rinse with hot water. You can use distilled vinegar and baking soda for disinfection. Cutting board. It has contact with all kinds of raw food - meat, vegetables, fruits. This creates the perfect conditions for the development of microbes which can easily transfer to the food. Islington Cleaners say that it is extremely dangerous to use the same cutting board for raw meat and other food that will not be cooked without washing the board. Scientists say that you can find 200 times more bacteria and microbes on a cutting board than on a toilet bowl. Clean your cutting board regularly with an abrasive detergent, or wash it in the dishwashing machine. Use hot water and disinfect it with distilled vinegar as you leave it to work on the board for a couple of hours. These are only some of the places that microbes love to “party”. If they are not cleaned and disinfected regularly it may lead to serious health issues of you and your family. So, do not forget to provide such places with disinfection.
