Every home’s plumbing and electrical systems are parallel to each other. Water flows in pipes and is measured by gallons per minute and similarly electricity flows into the house at a certain rate and is measured by amperes. The electrical consumption of a household is quite high since all gadgets like blender, toaster, washing machine, air-conditioning, etc work with electricity. Sometimes, the wires that supply current to the house require electrical repair through normal wear and tear or when they are misused. Electricity enters each home through equipment that is allocated by the power service company. This is actually a disconnected system that is mounted in an enclosure either inside or outside the house. There are usually three main lines supplying current to the home – one for the lighting, the second to work small appliances and the last for the air-conditioning and other large appliances. The exact voltage supplied depends on several factors. A neutral wire has a different color than those supplying electricity and is grounded and connected to the earth. Fuses and circuit breakers are built into each electrical system and are safety devices that will trip or stop the power from entering the home when there is an overload or other problem. This can also be operated manually. If these were non-existent and if you operated too many gadgets through one wire the whole electrical system of the house would collapse. This is where electrical repair comes in. It is quite easy for a layman to repair fuses and switches. But for the electrical repair or change of the wires, fuse boxes, circuit breakers, an electrical repair man needs to be called in from the power service company. These are qualified electricians who will look into the problem, replace the damaged electrical equipment and suggest methods to prevent the same mishap from occurring again. Sometimes, the whole wire needs to be replaced and this is looked into by the Electrical Repair man. The electrician who will visit your home will locate and eliminate the cause of the trouble before replacing a blown fuse or resetting a tripped circuit breaker. Another group of men who undertake electrical repair are the commercial electricians. These individuals are attached to particular companies and deal with implementing electrical components for a project that is about to begin production; or regular maintenance work which would include upkeep of the electrical equipment and fittings. They also deal with more complex electrical environments than the household electricians. Most often, Commercial electrician have to work more than the 40 hours that a normal person works and the nature of their work implies that they should be ready to go to work 24x7 in different environments, both indoor and outdoor. The biggest threat to commercial electricians is that they have a higher chance of being electrocuted. However, this genre of electricians is usually certified.
