The U. S. Virgin Islands have many beautiful islands, including its largest St Croix. REAL ESTATE ST CROIX is available and waiting for new buyers. Located in the Caribbean Ocean, St Croix consists of around eighty square miles with a population close to sixty thousand residents. The largest populations can be found in Frederiksted and Christiansted, the islands two major cities. Most of the residents of the island come from South America, Puerto Rico, other islands in the Caribbean, and other areas of the world. French Creole and Spanish are spoken on the island, but English is the most common language among residents. This site is said to be the first landing site of Christopher Columbus on United States land. Buck Island Reef National Monument is an excellent place to swim and snorkel. There are many cultural events to experience, many occurring year round. In Frederiksted, there is a monthly jazz festival on the beach in which local entertainers perform for free. There is also the St Croix Half Ironman Triathlon that takes place through the island every May. The triathlon is commonly referred to as Beauty and the Beast because of the tall hills that are part of the bike ride. The triathlon consists of a swim, bike ride, and run over seventy miles of long so everyone will have great views of the race all over the island. Lastly, there is the annual Crucian Christmas Festival that takes place in late December and Early January. The festival involves parades and other festivities for the whole family to enjoy. There are many industries that call the area home, including a large oil refinery and two large Rum distilleries. The oil refinery is run by the national oil company of Venezuela, as well as a major American oil company. Tourism is still the number one industry on the island, accounting for most of the year round revenue. REAL ESTATE ST CROIX is just as varied as its people, and there is something there for everyone. With a small island, you are sure to enjoy close access to all of the islands beautiful sites and features, as well as its many beaches.
