A good dog boarding facility has trained staff that will watch over your beloved pet and give your dog a chance to socialize with other pets. However, it's important to search for the right dog boarding facility. During your search, here are some red flags to look for. When researching facilities you should ask for a tour. If the owner or employee gives an excuse why their facility doesn't allow tours and won't allow you to take one, you should consider that a red flag. If you can't see the facility with your own eyes before making an appointment, don't put your pet in their care. Ask about the facilities policy on pet interaction. A good facility will allow pet interaction with a few guidelines regarding vaccinations and pet behavior. A facility that doesn't allow interactions or that allows interaction without guidelines regarding vaccinations is a red flag. This means that your pet could be interacting with other people's diseases pets. Another red flag is a facility that uses cages instead of divided rooms or kennels. You want your pet to experience the same comfort as home. If find a facility without any of these problems, you should be able to leave your dog there with peace of mind.
