News Now 53 is a cable television network in Oklahoma in partnership with Cox Communications and Griffin Communications, owner of CBS affiliates KWTV 9 in Oklahoma City and KOTV 6 in Tulsa.
News Now 53 launched on December 3, 1996 in Oklahoma City airing newscasts from KWTV News 9.
In 2000, following KOTV's sale to Griffin, News Now 53 launched on Cox's Tulsa system carrying newscasts from KOTV The News on 6.
