When you create a membership website you have to decide if the membership will be free or paid. Each one has its advantages and disadvantages. The paid version is just for individualsthat pay to become a member and the website information cannot be accessed by free users. The disadvantage is that you might get more people to join if it is free and give them samples of what the paid version is and then members will be curious on what thepaid for version has and join. The benefitis you are getting paid for members until they decide to cancel. The disadvantage of the free membership is you have to get them upgrade to pay for the paid version. Some of the contents that membership website include are mentioned below: · Articles · Videos · Audio · Graphics · Music · Tutorials Most individuals want to produce a membership website based on what they like to do, but I think it is better to market to a topic that has a lot of interest and they best way to do that is through keyword study. You can exploration and try to get low competing keywords usually under 50,000 the lower the better. Once you find a keyword and a niche that you want to create your membership website on you have to decide how you want tobuild a membership. Here are some differentbehavior on creating a membership website. · Scripts · Word Press · Joomla · Forums · Blogs A great way to create a membership is through a script of a CMS (content management system) such as Word Press or Joomla. I have created two memberships with each. I like both Word Press and Joomla. There is a learning curve, but once you be aware of each platform you will understand how to format your membership website. A lot of marketers use wish list which creates a password protected membership where members have to register an account and create a username and password. Other scripts like Mike Filename’s Butterfly Marketing Script Valued At $2000 which is free now and is open source and allows you to create a multi tier website based on the members preferences. This way you market a higher end website with more functions and products then just one membership. You can create Silver, Gold, Platinum and Elite Membership. Plus when the member joins the script automatically makes them your affiliate and they can make your money while you pay them money or a commission to market your membership. A membership can also be a simple as registering an Auto responder service such as aweber or get response and getting members to pay for a membership. I use aweber and the monthly service is 20.00 an month. Forums are another alternative, but there is a lot of upkeep, but a lot of people create a download area and a discussion area where members can discuss issues and products. This is a great way to create a membership but the only disadvantage you have to monitor this constantly. But like they say different strokes for different folks. In conclusion: There are many ways to build a membership and you have to decide what you niche or what the membership is about. Then you have to decide what type of format you want it in whether it is going to be a blog, forum or a script. The next thing is the hardest you will have to market your membership website. I will leave this to the next article. Thanks for taking the time to read this article Have a great day. Talk to you soon, Ray Gollis Create Your Own Membership Website, Free Sign Up!
