It is a fact that green lasers have many uses. However, before talking about them, it is important to mention what the difference between green lasers and, say, red lasers is. It was surprising to learn that most of the people think those are entirely difficult at a technology level, as that is absolutely wrong. In fact, green lasers and lasers whose beam is of any other color have just one difference. Let’s explain it by starting off with how lasers work. Basically, laser pointers, no matter if those are green lasers or any other color, use batteries to work! Batteries provide electricity power, which is transformed into light energy i.e. the electricity from the batteries help lasers evolve light waves. But light waves themselves can vary in length. And note, it is exactly the length of the light waves that determines what the color of the light we see will be. For instance, green lasers evolve light waves of length around 500-520 nanometers whereas red lasers evolve light waves whose length is 700-750 nanometers. So that’s pretty much how lasers, including the green lasers, work. Now, let’s get back to the main questions: what are the most important uses of green lasers. One of the greatest things about green lasers is that they could be used for pretty much everything i.e. there are no restrictions. Violet lasers and blue lasers, for example, are not suitable for pointing objects on the sky surface. Understandably, that is because sky is of pretty much the same color at nights, which can make the dot of the laser hardly noticeable on the sky surface. Of course green lasers can be used for that purpose, since they are bright enough and will be easily noticed on the surface of the sky. Moreover, green lasers can also be used during lectures, presentations and lessons. There is not a particular reason for that. It has just become like an approved tradition that either red or green lasers are used for such purposes. It would be somehow weird if a violet laser is used, don’t you think so? Are we in a disco or what? So people, who just want to a laser pointer, without having a particular usage in their mind, would probably find the green lasers as the best possible option. It does not really matter if they will be purchased online or from the local shop, green lasers are rarely faulty since their mechanism is quite simple.
