Light can be reflected by using mirrors if they are placed in strategic places. The mirrors in the bathroom should reflect as much natural light as possible, also, artificial ones, if placed in front of windows, will reflect the light giving the impression of a wider space. Lamps can also be strategically placed in a bathroom to help supplement bathroom lighting. Whatever lighting you choose, it must work well with the furnishings, mirror and other decorative pieces placed in the bathroom. Vanity lighting is also a great option for your sink area of your bathroom. You can mount fixtures or bulbs right to your mirror or can purchase side fixtures to compliment your mirror for a classic style bathroom, but to avoid severe shadows it is best to steer clear of reflectors. Bathroom fixtures can also be used inside cabinets or on the ceiling over bathtubs or bath enclosures. The right lighting fixture is essential to achieving the desired bathroom lighting and avoiding a glare or shadow. There are various kinds of bathroom lighting fixtures and other options for bathroom lighting. Fixtures come in several different finishes to match the hardware in your home. You can choose from silver, gold, copper, stainless steel, bronze, and brushed bronze, brushed nickel, or an antique finish and a plethora of other choices. You can choose bar lights to eliminate the requirement for separate fixtures at a double sink. You can also choose white glass or glass which is translucent. Recessed lights are also great for bathroom lighting and with can lights you can shine the light directly in the place that you need. These are a great option if you do not have space in your bathroom for bathroom lighting fixtures. Recessed lights are great because they don't collect dust on them as do other bathroom lighting fixtures. With so many great choices for bathroom lighting, you will have no problem choosing fixtures or can lights for your bathroom area.
