I was an acne sufferer for years; I spent so long researching different ways of getting clear, acne free skin. I thought I had tried everything to clear my acne, but I actually, I had only tried everything that was advertised on the television by celebrities that had never even had spots let alone acne! I was convinced because they didn't clear my acne or spots my acne must have been worse than everyone else's. So I started to look at articles on a cure for acne on line and all I seemed to come across were unrealistic promises from sales people. They promised to "cure my acne" "clear my skin of spots" with headlines like "acne free in three days", "clear skin by next week", "cure acne overnight!". I was quite aware that nothing as huge as achieving clear skin that is free from acne and spots is ever going to happen overnight, or in three days for that matter. Sure you may get a quick "cure for acne" short term, but I wanted a long term solution to acne that would clear my acne for good! I understood pretty quickly that no one I was talking to really knew why my acne was happening. And why my sister had completely acne free skin, and had never had spots or acne in her life! I went to the doctor who gave me acne creams, acne pills, acne wash. I went to go see a therapist that gave me acne moisturiser, acne cleanser, acne toner, acne exfoliator, acne mask, acne serums. I went to go a see an alternative medicine guy who said I could have acupuncture for acne, reflexology for acne, acne massage. I went to a clinic that could offer acne peels, acne laser treatment, acne injections, acne microdermabrasion. It was all acne this acne that and I didn't understand a word of what they were telling me! I went onto some acne forums to see if I could get help from other acne sufferers. It seemed we all had the same problems with everyone asking each other, how do I cure my acne? Do acne creams really work? Why do I have acne and not my twin? I went to my doctor and he said my acne was just teenage spots, why doesn't he take my acne seriously? Some people wrote really emotional pieces about how they hated their acne and thought that their acne was controlling their life! I decided there must be a better way, I wanted to not only cure my acne, but help other acne sufferers clear theirs too! I decided if I wanted to cure my acne, I would have to go back to college and learn about acne myself! Why do we get acne? What is acne? Why do I have acne and not my sister? How do you really cure acne? How to acne creams work? I wanted to know everything about acne. So that's what I did! I pulled all the acne information from all the acne websites, acne forums and acne books. Reviewed all the acne products, acne treatments and acne medication and put it all on one easy to use acne website.
