We all would like our ab muscles to be as strong, firm and pretty as possible. This is the major reason that we commit such huge amounts of time exercising and worrying over even the slightest hint of "muffin tops". Unfortunately, even when you spend long hours at the health club on a daily basis in an attempt to keep your body toned, there are many habits that you have that could be counteracting all the work you are doing. In this article we are going to look more carefully at exactly what you could be doing to keep your belly flabby.

Do you enjoy tv? Obviously periodically lying on the couch and watching a couple of tv shows is exactly what you need to do to feel better about something. Maybe youve had a difficult day, it's possible youre really stressed out, and maybe you just need a day to decompress. All the same, there are studies done that indicate folks that spend more than a couple of hours per day sitting and watching television have a ten percent greater chance of having weak muscles in their backs and bellies. The absolute best strategy to counteract this is to get your training in, in front of the tv. Obviously that is a better plan for those who work out in their own homes.

Do you typically allow your anxiety levels build to the point of breaking? When you work in a very stressful job or your home life is incredibly stressful, this could be hindering the effort you are putting in when you work out. People who may have chronic stress or worry issues tend to pack on extra belly fat. Learning the way to relax and keep your anxiety levels low can do magic to help this. Deep breathing techniques, as an example, can do quite a bit to keep your stress levels at a manageable degree every day.

Snacking close to your bedtime may also be helping you retain your muffin top. Snacking and heading straight to bed means that your food is more likely to basically be stored for when you need it. When we sleep all of our bodily processes slow and that means that your body won't be as likely to burn of what you have eaten in a timely manner. Try to keep the snacking to a minimum and stop at least a couple of hours prior to deciding to head to bed.

There are some who will tell you you must stay away from bread if you want to keep your abs in good shape. Studies have been completed that prove both that bread is extremely beneficial and that it doesn't do anything but make you very fat. Ask your physician what type of information or advice is the most relevant to you and the rest of your body.

Keeping our abdominal muscles powerful will involve more than only working out for an hour every day. You have to be vigilant even when you're not at the gym. Watch what you take in, when you eat it and endeavor to keep stress low.
