The design of a human anatomy is complex; to add to this impenetrable system is the burden of up keeping. 95% of the people in the world fail to do so, this is because you care less about your body and are very much engrossed with materialistic gain. Eating junk food and satisfying your hunger pang does not mean that you have consumed a balanced diet. For being active and a go-getter it is mandatory that you supply your body with vitamins and minerals at regular intervals. Absence of these vital components which make your body healthy can lead to critical health problems.

Vitamins and minerals – the definition: Vitamins and minerals contribute to a healthy metabolism. Vitamins can be classified as water-soluble and fat-soluble. The water-soluble vitamins are Vitamins C and B group. Vitamins A, D, E and K are fat-soluble. On the other hand minerals are inorganic chemical components important for the production of hormones, enzymes and proteins. Only a balanced diet can provide nutrients to your body, for which eating fruits and vegetables daily is recommended. The body succumbing to multiple organ damage, metabolic disorders and other diseases is a common scene when you miss out on vitamins and minerals. With the heavy work load burdening everybody’s life people tend to jaded and run down. They miss out on devoting time to themselves because they have to prepare documents or get print outs. By dinnertime a person is so weary that he’d prefer on munching heated frozen food and hit the bed. In this fast pace life there is no time for health, fitness and care. In recent times gymnasiums have gained a lot of importance but that can be featured as a trend because people are become conscious about their physique. Impressive physique makes it easy to be accepted in a social circle rather than a bowed down person.

Who requires Vitamins and minerals in large proportions? You can decide for yourself how much of vitamins and minerals you require, the difference between having a balanced diet and junk food is enormous. There can be increased needs during pregnancy, after pregnancy, when implementing a heavy physical activity in your routine life. During depression and other psychological adversities, exhaustion, illness and fatigue intake of vitamins and minerals has to be increased as compared to your normal dosage. Insufficiency of such nutrients during this time can lead to malnutrition, weight loss, intestine and liver failure and diabetes. However if you are unable to eat a balanced diet every day then it is recommended that you take supplements that provide vitamins and minerals . These supplements are available on a wide variety you can either opt for multi-purpose supplements or supplements that provide a singled out nutrient as per your requirement.

Pay a visit to the doctor when: You experience persistent fatigue, general weakness, blurry vision, impaired concentration and bleeding gums. Such health problems in a child have to be immediately reported. Patients suffering from Diabetes, Duodenal, Epilepsy, Stomach ulcers, AIDS, Cancer and alcoholism lack these components in large proportions and lose these nutrients at an increased rate every day. Adults suffering from rapidly changing body weight also need intake of nutrients.
