When the latest PlayStation was launched in 2007 the console was the most expensive on the market but consumers did not mind as it was built to last. Sony entirely refute the suggestion that PS3 consoles have an inherent defect or other design issue and report that of all the PS3s sold in the UK to date, fewer than one half of one percent of units have been reported as failing in circumstances where the yellow indicator is illuminated. Consumers experiencing any problems with their PlayStation 3 are turning to independent PS3 repair businesses. It has been reported that the ‘yellow light of death’ as it is known by gamers, can in fact be repaired by heating up specific parts of the circuit board, please do not try this at home, you could do more harm than good, leave it to the professionals.
