BBC reported that China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) strategy to beat the other three high bidder and successfully won first oil and gas field bidding after the the fall of Taliban regime in Afghanistan. Therefore, CNPC will pay 15% of mining tax to the Afghan government, and profits of 30% of corporate income tax, while $ 300 million commitment to build a local refinery.Insiders said that CNPC of the Second West-East gas pipeline source is from Turkmenistan Amu Darya region in Afghanistan, The bid is successful will allow CNPC occupy a more favorable position in Afghanistan's future energy development.
