So the news has been full of tales of what the high spirited Rory McIlroy has been reputed to have said in recent weeks about the demise of the legendary Tiger Woods, so what exactly is the score with Tiger and has he really lost his coveted roar once and for all??If you know a thing all two about Tiger Woods then you will know that he doesn’t like to appear weak so is it time for tiger woods to stand down from the top spot with grace and dignity and allow some of the younger folks to shine?? Well man of the moment Rory Mcilroy certainly seems to think so. He has spoken out and made it clear how he feels on the infamous subject of Tiger Woods retiring in the not so distant future. So what are the recent stats on Tiger woods that have made his young cubs speak out and voice their disapproval at the way Tiger woods has been performing on the course recently? Well lets look at his recent match play stats, for starters Tiger has not really peaked again since his infamous days of glory seen over a decade ago, but whats more concerning for the average golf fan is that Tiger Woods has recently been ranked a poor 49th- we must remember this is The lowest ranking Tiger has been given since 1996. So how can Tiger Woods get back on form or is it all too late for this one time legend of the golfing world? According to the outspoken Rory its all abit late for Tiger to now try to fight his way out of the den- "We saw the best of Tiger in 2000 and 2001. I don't think golf can be played any better than that," said McIlroy. "He didn't even need to play that well to win tournaments - he won the US Open by 15 shots, the Open by eight - so I think we've seen the best of him but that's not to say to he won't win again. So what now for Tiger Woods?Well we suggest he follows in the footsteps of many other golfers who have played their best golf in days gone by and opts to purchase a golf gps unit from us and invest in another career as a golf reviewer, who knows he may find this is where his golf forte really lies!
