Registration has officially opened for the 2011 Nike Shox R3 Magic Buckle Green Women's Marathon. Registration for the Nike Shox R3 Magic Buckle Green Women's Marathon will stay open from March 4th to March 18th, and will help to set up the field of runners that will participate in this year's event. The 2011 Marathon will take place in San Francisco, California on Sunday, October 18th, 2011, and will have a start time of 7:00 AM Pacific time. It's a huge event in running, and the 2011 installment should be as successful as ever. The registration for the Nike Shox R3 Magic Buckle Green Women's Marathon works a bit differently than some marathon races, in that runners register with the hope of competing. Once everyone has registered, there is a random drawing to decide the field, taking both individuals and groups from the pre-registered group of runners. The random drawing is done as a result of the popularity of the event, and because it is expected to sell out quickly, promoters thought it would be a good idea to give a level chance to all potential participants. Each age group winner will also be recognized, with the groupings spread out for each 5 years of age (e.g. 20-24, 25-29 etc.).
