Fast-forward to today—most films now incorporate high-definition (HD) picture quality and amazing special effects. Television has also had undergone major evolutions. Like film, it also experienced a great leap when sound was added to the picture. Color televisions were then introduced in the 1960s, and by then, nearly every household in the United States owned at least one TV set. Recently, television has seen another advancement: the adoption of HD-capable LCDs, plasmas, and LED television sets. But why do some prefer film over television? First, there is that feel-good mood that one gets when he watches a movie by going to the cinema, waiting for that DVD to play, and watching free movies online.
