Action films usually have a main hero and a villain, and are usually high- budget films with a famous action star as the central subject of the film. Comedies are another popular film genre. Comedies have lighthearted plots, with funny stories filled with scenes injected with exaggerated situations, language, actions, and characters. Movie stars with a reputation for being funny are often cast as comedians in this genre, and like action films, they can have a mix of different genres, such as romance, horror, musicals, and more. Many comedy films are available as free online movies. Science-fiction films are another type of film frequented by moviegoers. They focus on technology and are usually groundbreaking, primarily focusing on exploration, and filled with heroes, aliens, galaxies, spaceships, and the future, in general. The most iconic of these films often involve alien invasions and space battles, and are sometimes mixed with horror, to portray rogue monsters or aliens terrorizing humans. These types of films are meant to touch people’s emotions through deep plots and excellent character development. Drama is the largest genre, with numerous films of its type released annually.
