Common written exam (CWE) is a recent Endeavour by Institute of Banking Personnel (IBPS) for the recruitment of clerical post in public sector bank of India. It is like any other exam; however it will recruit a larger mass of candidates. It will be a common exam for a large strength of people who will apply for the post of Bank PO. This exam will be a direct entry to the 19 public sector banks involved with IBPS. Thorough preparation of the syllabus with the help of sample papers is essential to clear this exam. Since, there will be a larger strength of candidates; the competition will also be more. You will have to perform better than your capabilities in order to score high in these exams. Scores are very essential because your entry in any of the public sector banks will be based on your scores. If a vacancy arises in any of the banks, you can present your score card and directly reach the interview session. However, preparation for the exam is not an easy job. You need to keep certain things in mind while preparing for the CWE by IBPS: IBPS is a huge organization with a highly trained faculty. So the CWE question paper will be tough and contain lot of general knowledge questions. You need to pay focus on the recent current affairs, especially the ones related to the field of banking. Practice hard from the sample papers. They will acquaint you with the usual questions asked and their marking scheme. The clerical post will involve communication with the client. So your fluency will also be tested in CWE. You need to read a lot of books to fulfill these criteria. There will be limited time available for answering questions. Therefore, practice enough to increase your accuracy while answering. Just remember there is negative marking. Avoid the questions which you are not sure about. IBPS has been successful in spreading awareness about this new pattern of exam, CWE which would enable large scale recruitment. It will give chance to a larger mass of candidates, who can be recruited on the basis of their capability.
