Will Schuester: "Alone" with April Rhodes in "The Rhodes Not Taken." The audience expects the director of the Glee Club to be able to sing, and sing well, but Mr. Schuester takes it to another whole level in this duet with April Rhodes. Not only does the song showcase Will's incredible talent, it also signifies the rocky relationships he experiences with most women on the show. Once again, Glee fans will recognise classic Queen hits Somebody to Love and Bohemian Rhapsody in this fun-packed West End musical. Fans will also be interested to learn that Jonathan Groff, who sung Bohemian Rhapsody in the finale of Glee Season one, will be appearing on the West End stage not in We Will Rock You, but in the dark comedy Deathtrap by Ira Levin. Inspired by the great success of the reality TV escapist giant, American Idol, Glee encourages viewers to kick their shoes off, unwind, and just enjoy the entertainment. There's no heavy thinking necessary. Glee's base of characters is large, bold, and organized in an almost hyperbolic way with the intention that each character is almost a caricature of a stereotype (or reverse stereotype) that you may find at a local high school. Often they're cast with a small twist, as is the case with the new football coach Shannon Beiste, but each character's true role in the show is always made very clear (again, as shown by Beiste, who's name is pronounced just as her character has been cast - a "Beast"). Tired Of Police, Politicians, And Crime In Your TV Shows? - Get Away With Glee Perhaps the only other fictional TV show to enter this niche successfully in the past 10 years was The Office, which is now in its seventh season and clearly having lots of success. And while Glee could never be as cheap as The Office to shoot (think of all the costumes!) it is currently getting more viewers per episode than any season of The Office ever did (running at an average of 9.7 million viewers / episode in season 1). So, in a world of depressing 24 hour news and reality TV that is not afraid to get trashier and trashier (how is 16 & Pregnant in a 2nd season?), Glee is most definitely a welcome, bright, uplifting boost to an otherwise heavy (if not gloomy) line-up of evening entertainment. Every one of these songs is, in some way, a way to link a certain male character to a whole audience of fans. The first season of 'Glee' is filled with these magical performances, and the link between the music and the characters' stories adds flavor and excitement to every episode. Ultimately, the music of 'Glee' helps to draw viewers to the show, and most importantly, keeps them coming back again and again. The West End musical is based on the hit film of the same name but the plot is transplanted into the 1970s, which is understandable; the 1990s is hardly a glamorous setting for anything. The Motown hits of the film are replaced by upbeat disco-inspired show tunes by The Little Mermaid's Alan Menken and West End rising star, Patina Miller, is dazzling in the lead. New Directions - Defining Musical Moments on 'Glee' The success of 'Glee' is determined in part by the creation of unique, lovable characters and interesting storylines that bring these characters to life. The more that people can relate to what they see on 'Glee', the higher the chance that these people will continuously tune in. While 'Glee' fans surely enjoy the quirky characters offered by the show, a huge part of their ability to relate to these characters is through the show's enticing musical numbers. Rachel is the uber talented superstar of the glee club. She was raised by two dads and recently discovered her surrogate mother was Shelby Corcoran, the coach of rival glee club, Vocal Adrenaline. Rachel is so ambitious that she quit New Directions when Mr. Schue gave a lead role to another girl. She joined the school musical and landed the lead in Cabaret, but she missed her friends in glee and eventually returned. Rachel has an on again off again relationship with Finn-at the end of the season it is definitely on, with Finn telling her he loves her before the two hit the stage for regional. And if you aren't a Glee Fan then you need to catch up on this fantastic show and join "gleeks" worldwide appreciating some of the best songs of our time reincarnated for a new audience, you don't even have to be a musical fan, there's plenty of comedy in this unique TV series. Not only does Glee pay tribute to nostalgic classics, it also opens up a whole new audience (and generation) to Broadway classics such as Defying Gravity, from Season 1 Episode 1 to Season 2 Episode 1 all in it's own inimitable way. Characters of Glee - Part 2 Mr. Schue is the man behind New Directions. Without his passion and commitment, the glee club would never have got off the ground. Will's been living an emotional roller coaster as of late. He took his divorce from his high school sweetheart Terri pretty hard, but finally admitted his feelings for Emma during the season finale. These two had a tumultuous start-Emma broke off her engagement to Coach Tanaka, but later backed out of a steamy night with Will-but the odds are good these two educators will teach each other a thing or two next season. New Directions, the official Club on 'Glee,' is encompassed by many different personalities and talents, and is a place where both of these elements combine to create a whole, dynamic character. The musical offerings of New Directions exemplify the combined sentiment of all members and seem always to summarize each episode's most important lesson. Here's a countdown of New Directions' most impressive moments from the first season. From the very talented singers, and actors and actresses such as Lea Michele (who plays Rachel) always seeking the love of her duet partner and school Quarterback, Finn, who equally has to choose between Rachel and his first love the gorgeous cheer leader Quinn, not to mention her sidekicks and equally entertaining in their own right, the constantly annoyed Santana, the adorable but simple minded Brittany who has some of the best lines on the show, the rebel without a cause Puck complete with a Mohawk, and of course no musical comedy would be complete without its own villain, the acid wit and tongue of the tormentor of the Glee Club and its director Will Schuester; Sue Sylvester. With its vast assortment of characters and scenarios, and some poignant topics, you will be hooked from the very first Episode, as they try through bumps and bruises to get to Nationals and win that must elusive of prizes, and be crowned the show choir winners for their state. Glee - Why We Love the Glee Cast So if you are not a fan of this fantastic musical series, that has everything, from romance, comedy, and great tracks and performances, then catch up and see what the fuss is about, you are guaranteed to love the characters and the show. Sue isn't pleased when she hears Will is trying to revive the school's glee club-that would mean less funding for her cheerleading squad, the Cheerios-so she makes it her mission to take down Will and the club. Sue is hilariously driven and seems capable of any evil. She's sent the glee club's set list to rival clubs, blackmailed Principal Figgins and even planned to sabotage New Directions from the inside-by sitting on the judges panel for regionals. Little did the club now, but Sue was the only judge who placed their performance first, proving she may have more heart than she lets on. "Lean on Me" in "Ballad." One thing that this song helps to show: the members of the Glee Club have each other's backs, vocally and in life. "Keep Holding On" in "Throwdown." Again, this is another performance that showcases the Glee Club members' ability to help their fellow participants with the ups and downs of life. This number, especially, is directed toward Quinn as she struggles with the social effects of her pregnancy. Glee New Poster and Sue is different, Mike's Parents Expose Time network information one week in the third quarter, "Glee," will return to the screen, Fox recently released a series of four posters new season.Continue until the trailer is still crazy dodge ball style, Sue's dodgeball in the posters really make the choir members shunned. Glee poster is still consistent colorful and relaxed, cheerful, funny style, picture, Sue seems to play very happy to see her behind, Will leaned over to catch the ball in front of Emma, Brittany saved Santana ato, and Rachel looks confused ... some conditions.Although Sue's attention in the new season will not be too concentrated in the choir above, but as the bottom group of McKinley High School, their life is doomed, or will not be easy. Glee in the third quarter will be Tuesday, September 20, 8 pm return to Fox. Remember Ryan - Murphy said the new season will focus on the story Glee member then? From now, he still is paying the actual action.Choir of Asian Dance King Mike Chang's parents have now announced that they will appear in the third quarter.
