So you are wondering if your friend is psychic. The first thing to ask yourself is what they have already done to make you ask this question. Do they always seem to know what you are thinking? Do they always phone or turn up at your door just as you are thinking you need their help or advice? Both of these examples may well point towards some sort of innate ability in your friend. A person is considered to be psychic if he or she can access information without using the normal five senses. Psychic skills include clairvoyance, clairsentience and mediumship among others. There are several ways you can tell if your friend is psychic. You can tell if a person is psychic if they seem to constantly know what you are thinking without you ever having to say anything. In addition to this they may seem to know things about your life and thoughts that you have never actually told them. If it is a friend you are considering, they will have a close spiritual link to you so they may well pick up on things without you having to communicate them in a normal way. Be aware of this and try to remember details that you have and haven’t told them. This can be a very effective way of assessing the psychic ability of a friend. Other things to be aware of include the way that a friend may sometimes be looking at you. Some people are able to sense things that other people can't see. Some people, for example, can see auras and when they are looking at you appear to be slightly unfocussed or not looking straight at you. This could well be because they are using their psychic ability to read your aura. They may do this while you are telling them something important or sharing part of your emotional life with them. If they appear distant the opposite may well be true and they are actually focusing on your aura and what it can tell them about your true state of mind. Other people have the ability to see spirits that may be present. Again these people may appear to be looking through you or past you while you are talking to them. They may well be getting communications and information from the spirits. Some people may not be fully aware of their own psychic ability or not think anything unusual about what they do. People who are particularly open to the spirit world will not always make a point of letting you know that they can see your aura or can sense a spirit in the room. In fact they may find it odd if you told them that you couldn’t!
