When it comes to streaming videos online, viewers may not have the best of both worlds. You may be able to watch free anime, but the resolution is frustrating. You can cut back on the technician’s fee by using some of basic steps which you can do yourself. Here are some of the tips on how to troubleshoot streaming problems. Check your hardware connections. Check the back of your computer to determine if all cables are plugged in correctly. The Ethernet cable must be connected to the Ethernet port on your system. You can easily identify an Ethernet cable from the rest by its blue/yellow or gray color and appearance similar to a telephone jack. Trace the other end of the cable and make sure it is connected to the router or modem. Check your Internet connection speed Once you have checked your hardware connection; determine whether you have the recommended Internet connection speed. You must not rely on the Internet connection speed advertised by your Internet service provider. What you have to determine is you actual connection speed. You can check your actual connection speed either through the control panel of your computer or by using an online connection speed tester. The recommended connection speed for streaming videos online is at least 2Mbps. Reset your modem You can reset your modem by unplugging the cable from the modem or router. Allow the device to rest for about 15 seconds to cycle its power. While waiting for the power cycle of the router, close all applications and restart your computer. Once your computer is on, plug the cable back in to the modem and wait for the modem's power and Internet lights to remain solid. Open your browser and visit the streaming website to test the streaming quality. Reset your browser If streaming remains choppy, you may have to check on your browser. Close your browser and all other applications that are running. An Internet Explorer browser can be reset by clicking on the Internet options under the tools tab. Look for the advanced option and click on reset. Once the browser is reset, close and reopen the browser. Visit the streaming site again to see if there are any improvements on the quality of the video. Check other computer This tip is applicable only if you have more than one computer in your home. Try to visit the streaming site from another computer and watch free anime. Check whether the computer has the same streaming problem. If streaming is just fine with the other computer, then your computer might be the problem which must be checked by a professional technician. Contact your Internet service provider to request for a technician who will personally check on your computer.
