Western-produced anime has seen countless improvements for the past years. However, many still believe that such animation is never at par with Japanese anime in various ways. These types of themes are rarely seen in western animation, as they seem too precarious for kids. Moreover, many believe that western animation still pales in comparison with Japanese animation in terms of character development. Most western animations are adventure series in nature that focuses on the conventions and formula of their genre. This therefore hinders the growth of individual characters because they are developed as a group. Lastly, people who watch free anime can easily see the equal treatment of the characters. The series builds the supporting characters through interactions with the lead while giving them individual challenges to overcome.
