When two individuals follow different religions and consider their religion as a core of their lives; they are also tolerant towards other religions. An inter-religious marriage is that in which two individuals follows different faiths. Such a union is also termed as inter-faith marriage and mixed faith marriage. Take note the difference between an inter-faith marriage and intra-faith marriage. The latter is one in which both individuals follow the same religion, but belong to different sects/denominations.
