There are actually two important keys in running a vending business; these are location and customer service. Yes these two must be present in your vending business to start realizing success. Location is an essential tool to succeed in vending business. In fact, it is wise to choose a location first before buying a machine and not the other way around. The reason for securing a location first before the machine is because it is easier to buy a machine than secure a good location. Imagine this, if you have purchased a gumball machine and approach a business manager with it, how sure are you that the business needs gumball and not snacks or coffee machine? This kind of situation must always be considered in vending. The best way to find a location is find a place with high foot traffic. Some misconceptions for a lot of novice vending operator is that they try to find a location with no existing vending machines at all. They feel that these locations are perfect since they don't have any competition. Sometimes this is not true; the reason why a certain location doesn't have a machine is simply because that location is non-profitable. A lot of vending experts have already envisioned the possible income of a certain location which is why they choose not to place their machines there. If you could observe that high traffic locations have several machines, it simply indicates that that location is profitable for vending business. You can place your machine there as well but you have to be competitive by offering different products and outstanding service. Actually finding a great location is not that hard if you're only looking at the right places. As mentioned earlier a place with existing machines are great locations. Just observe the machines which don't offer quality service anymore, such as dirty machines, unfilled machines, etc. The location of these unattended machines can be yours. You just need to talk the manager or owner of that location and offer your machine to them. When you acquire the location, it's now time to offer excellent quality service to your customers. Remember, customers want to feel special and that they wanted their needs to be attended. Make sure that you provide them with what they want, they need and an excellent service so that they would keep on returning in your machines.
