Internet scams, there are thousands of them, the net is full of them all trying to get your money because that is the end game of any scam. How can you tell a scam from a real opportunity, well the good news is things are getting better the scammers are finding it more and more difficult to pull the wool over peoples eyes, give false information and take the money and run. But how do you know the difference between a scammer and the real deal, well one thing you can be sure of, that if you get a email asking you for your personal details from some bank or building society to which you belong you can bet that it is a scam, no bank or building society will ask for your details by email or over the phone for that matter, always disregard these methods, if you are not sure always check with your bank. There are other ways that they will try to get money out of your wallet, they know that people are very short of money these days and for scammers this is a ideal situation, if people think that they can get rich quick with a few clicks of a mouse then the scammer will be right there, and how will he go about it well we have all seen these flash websites that offer you the moon and a life style that you can only dream of and all it's going to cost you is $47 and within a week you will be where you want to be, but I think that in the back of all our minds we realise that this is not going to work, but then again there is always maybe a small chance, so we pay our $47 and do all they tell us on the site and after a couple of weeks we are not getting any where, and then one day we go to log in and guess what it's gone that website that was going to give us all we desired has disappeared. But there are some sites that go that little bit further, you sign up and pay a monthly payment and as time goes on they actually pay out so you get all excited and you start trusting them and when they tell you that they pay out every month then that's fine by you, then after several months you are starting a accumulate quite a little sum for your self and it comes to the end of the month and you have planned just what to do with the money you are about to get paid so you log in just to check on things and up it comes page not found' scammed again. How do I know all this because all of these things have happened to me I didn't take on the simple formula that if it sounds to good to be true then it probably is. Well that's all the negative points now let's get on to the positive points, how can you tell a website that will not take your money and run. First look at the age of the website, if it's been around for a while then that's a good indicator that it's genuine, because longevity means that the people involved are happy with the results, I don't give much value to the recommendations that a lot of sites have, they can easily be put in by the owner of the site, but if they have their own forum or members page that's different you can glean a lot of information from that kind of page. Another thing to look for is to see if the website has a address or a phone number, if they are prepared to give this then they must be reliable because you have at your fingertips a way to check every thing and to ask questions. A website might be new but most are genuine, it's only the odd one that you might have trouble with, you can always check to see if the owner has been involved with any other website, and if so how successful has it been. I hope this article has given you some incite in what to look for in any opportunity that you are about to get involved in
