The city of Almeria This Mediterranean city owes its name “Almeria” (meaning mirror of the sea) to its coastal paradise. Beautiful beaches to sunbathe and swim, fishing villages with restaurants that serve good seafood and vegetable dishes freshly taken from the nearby fields. Many archaeological sites can be visited and you can take a look at some famous and amazing prehistoric art painted on the rocks of the caves. For the nature lovers, there are beautiful parks with a varied display of local flora and fauna like the Gata Nijar Natural Park of volcanic origin.
