Any person searching the net on learning rock lyric writing certainly has a hard time trying to write their own lyrics. Make it simple.
A lot of people who try to write rock songs make it quite complicated. Learn to stick with a topic and do not stray. You have only a few minutes to share a story in a song. It does not have to be complicated. Your typical audience would love your rock song writing to be that simple. It should be something they will understand and be able to relate to. It must be a song they can easily remember and something that can be sung in the shower.
People should be able to catch your song easily. So you should not think that you need to go through a hard time to let your lyrics stand out. These are simple ideas to follow in your rock lyric writing and they must not be overlooked. Knowing these ideas will save you tons of time and errors as a song writer. Keep practicing your craft because practice makes perfect.
