Do you want to be a professional rock songwriter? Are you ready to pay the price that comes with being a successful rock songwriter? The first thing you need to know is that doors are not widely open for any "Joe' who'd like to be a professional rock songwriter. The truth is the doors to the record labels are actually closed. Maybe you're thinking of sending your music by e-mail.
Actually online doors are also closed. They don't accept materials they deem to be unsolicited. So you'd go to the clubs and make some money playing for one of the bands and probably write their songs? There's actually a problem with playing there too. There are a lot of aspiring stars available that only tips are given to the best ones who play at the club. So how do you reach your professional rock songwriter dream?
Your professional rock songwriting dreams can be reached. Yes it's possible! But music business is not a thing for the faint hearted. If you truly desire to be a famous and successful songwriter, you have to venture into it with greater commitment, hard work and focus else you will be seriously disappointed. You don't need only talent, but you need to be the master of your craft and have great negotiation skills. You may have read this some where, that "talent alone is cheap". What makes for a successful songwriting career is a good understanding of showbiz and mastering of your craft.
