There are some sports that you need to be careful about if the area that you are on is extremely hard; some examples are: basketball, running or tennis. You need to have ample healing time for any injury or it can keep recurring; some of these injuries can get so bad that you will never be the same again. As you injure one side of your body, you will notice that your other side becomes the side that you are always on and this can injure it as well.
