As eighty five per cent of women have cellulite, it is no wonder that there are a great many cellulite treatments available, as cosmetics manufacturers try to claim their share of what has become a very lucrative market. The majority of women who suffer with cellulite will have tried at least one of the treatments which are said to improve its appearance, whether these are creams or serums or massage techniques such as dry body brushing or lymphatic massage. The appearance of cellulite is often likened to orange peel or cottage cheese, and its dimples are caused by changes to the connective tissue below the skin. The fibrous bands which connect muscle to skin harden as we get older, this means that they drag the skin down, and create ‘pockets’ in which the fat is trapped.
