Star Wars: the Old Republic or SWTOR is a massively multiplayer online game that thrusts you avatar first into the Star Wars universe as never before. Speed of thought and strength of will are the tools of your trade, and you’d be better off to outrun a bounty hunter than tango with him. That’s not to say you can’t handle yourself in a fight with a Bobba Fett wannabe, but a frontal assault should only be considered if it’s absolutely necessary or if it somehow benefits your means. Playing as a Smuggler requires you to find and acquire the fastest engines and build the leanest ships. Basic abilities of the smuggler include trained skill with the blaster, the ability to evade enemies with ease, throwing flash grenades and recuperating quickly when you run out of breath. Once you hit level 10, you can then specialize into either of two advanced classes. The Smuggler can branch out into either Gunslinger or the Scoundrel. Both still rely on ranged attacks to deal the most damage, but the Gunslinger is more of a dual-pistol sure shot while the Scoundrel is a master survivalist that can stealth, attack and heal when in a bind.
