Skycaddie describe the new skycaddie sgxw as the first golf gps unit to rival the laser rangefinders from bushnell.Yes the old boffins at skycaddie have made quite a bold statement with this one, they have described the fact that thanks to their newly released skycaddie sgxw the use for a laser rangefinder out on the course will run its course. In fact they have gone so far as to say that the use of the laser will now be obsolete. So how have skycaddie made this bold statement and can it be backed up in any substantial form? Well lets take a look at the technology behind skycaddies warning to bushnell. Skycaddie are claiming that with the intelligreen technology on the new skycaddie sgxw the use of the pinpoint precise technology will mean lasers no longer need to be relied upon to get accurate measurements. Instead golfers can make use of the pin point tech to measure the distance to the hole by adding pin positions. This in effect works by mapping out your location on the course, you will then get clear yardages to the front carry, back, center and hole location, So in effect wont need to rely heavily on the laser used by bushnell. In effect skycaddie are claiming that the gps technology found on the newly launched skycaddie sgxwis so precise that you wont need the added fuss of aiming to get the hole position as the skycaddie will do all this for you.
