With the Prius you can get 87 MPG when you’re using its EV mode and 49 MPG when it’s running in its hybrid mode. Slashing the extra weight was a good move on Toyota’s part and it will help Prius owners to save even more money in the years to come. Price The Toyota Prius starts at $32,760 and includes lots of “goodies” like heated seats daytime running lights, a backup camera, cool multimedia system, hot wheels and so much more. People who are on the fence about purchasing a Prius should think about the $2,500 tax credit that they will benefit from when they purchase a Prius or other hybrid vehicle. When you combine that savings with the obvious savings at the pump there’s no reason not to buy a Prius.
