PART 34 CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION IS HERE AGAIN.

CHRISTMAS 2011 IS AROUND THE CORNER Christmas is often celebrated as a day to mark the birth of Jesus Christ. Most parts of the world have accepted the 25th of December of each year to mark the birthday of our Lord Jesus Christ. As believers should we just like zombies accept the doctrine or practice of any custom or tradition that comes our way without consulting God? In the article on “It is time for the annulment of the law of celibacy”, we cited that the Gibeonites deceived Joshua and the Princes of the children of Israel to sign a league with them with an oath that they should not be touched and God honored the covenant and stopped the children of Israel from hurting them. There are countless deceivers whose main assignment is to subtlety deceive the believers in Christ into making covenants with them thus making the people of God to get committed to their devilish doctrines. Christmas 2011 has come and certainly all denominations from the Roman Catholic Church down to the least traditional church system is warming up to be part of the Christmas celebrations. Many have built Shrines and decorated them with plastic images of Jesus, Mary and Joseph to be worshipped on Christmas day.

We are told that 25TH of December is the celebration of the birth day of Jesus BUT NONE OF THE ACTIVITIES OF THAT DAY BRINGS TO REMEMBRANCE THE WORK DONE BY THE LORD. In Africa we see masquerades of different colorful art parading the streets but behind the scene many sacrifices have been offered to the pagan god and goddesses. One prime scene is that of people changing their facial outlook to that of a beast. All these show that the evil and demonic spirits are using the temple of God that is man’s body in celebrating to the gods. The celebration has nothing to do with Christ. Christian Homes are not left out of the preparations for Christmas. Decorations of colored lights are placed at the central parts of many towns; shops, business establishments such as Banks and streets are decorated alongside with shiny reflectors to give every town a Christmas look. During this period messages on Christ’s birth are being heralded by preachers; retreats, seminars and conferences are arranged to keep members intact. Sound systems play Christmas carols and the traditional Christmas Religious songs to mark the Christmas season. The Churches show a more colorful look with shiny decorations intertwined with colorful lights from the outside surroundings to the doors and windows of the Church in preparation for Christmas. The inside decorations are specially fitted with beautiful colored lights, heavily decked aimed at attracting visitors to the church for membership. All this is done as if that would attract the presence of God. Christmas trees whether real or plastic evergreen ’conifer’ trees decorated with colorful lights and Christmas ornaments are often spotted at the altars and at special seating positions for the rich and special guests. We cannot leave the church without spending an hour or two with all eagerness to visit the manger and present our gifts like the three wise men to baby Jesus. The priests so adore these plastic images of mother and child that they burn incense and sprinkle holy water on them thus demonizing them to attract members to the worship the assume baby child Jesus and Mary. This is the peak of idolatry. By the mid of December, most homes are already decorated with Christmas trees, colored lights and papers or plastic decorations, placed on house walls with colored electric lights, in anticipation of the great occasion.

In many countries, most people post traditional Christmas greeting cards which show pictures of Mary, the Baby Jesus and Joseph to their friends and family members. These cards are hung on the walls, expressed on table’s tops, and at strategic points in the parlor of their colorfully decorated homes, to show their preparedness for Christmas. We cannot conclude this exposition on Christmas without the Children’s favorite, “The Santa Claus” popularly known as “Father Christmas”. Here we see children crowding around an old man with long white beards wearing a red coat and carrying a bag of toys. Can we proudly with all this Romantic scenes and huge preparations and expenditures boldly stand before Jesus Christ and tell Him we are celebrating His birthday. Jesus would exclaim: Abomination This is paganism that has been Christianized over the years, a practice He hates to see. In the first place where in His Word, has He commanded us to celebrate His Birthday? Is it not kept secret so that we do not bother to know? True believers must hate what God hates. The scripture in Ex.20:4-6 reveals God’s command as touching these images. It states: Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a Jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments. Exodus 20:4-6KJV In Exodus 34:12-14 the Lord made a more serious command and how to handle these images. It states: Take heed to thyself, lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land whither thou goest, lest it be for a snare in the midst of thee: But ye shall destroy their altars, break their images, and cut down their groves: For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God. Exodus 34:12-14KJV I asked Jesus Christ when He appeared to me: ‘Lord how is Mary coping in heaven with the millions of people communicating with her per second, per second’. The Lord said to me: I have said in My word that there should be no communication with the dead. Mary is not an exception to this law. This practice is an abomination unto Me. You know I strongly condemn it. Deuteronomy18:10-11 There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch. Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard or a necromancer [one who communicates with the dead] For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out before thee. Deuteronomy18:10-11 KJV Also in Isaiah 8:19-22 the scripture states: And when the people [instead of putting their trust in God] shall say to you, Consult for direction mediums and wizards who chirp and mutter, should not a people seek and consult their God? Should they consult the dead on behalf of the living? [Direct such people] to the teaching and to the testimony! If their teachings are not in accord with this word, it is surely because there is no dawn and no morning for them And they [who consult mediums and wizards shall pass through [the land] sorely distressed and hungry; and when they are hungry, they will fret, and will curse by their king and their God; and whether they look upward Or look at the earth, they will behold only distress and darkness, the gloom of anguish, and into thick darkness and widespread, obscure night they shall be driven away. Isaiah 8:19-22 AMPLV.

The word of God declares it that there is one mediator between God and men, THE MAN CHRIST JESUS. The scripture in1Timothy2:5 declare it: For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.1 Timothy2:5KJV

Let us examine what Christmas is all about and the reasons believers are celebrating Christmas. Is the 25th of December truly the birthday of Jesus Christ.? Are these customs, traditions and ritualistic practices year in year out at this season of any Christian origin. Or should we confirm our predictions that Christmas is another mixture between paganism and Christianity? At a glance we see the mixture in the word “Christmas”: The name of Christ and a foreign word “Mass” which is not found in the scripture. We wonder at such a seemingly forced union which cannot be mixed in the actual sense of it because Jesus stated in Matthew 6:24 that we cannot serve God and mammon at the same time. No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other: or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Matthew 6:24 KJV. As former Catholics we proudly introduce ourselves as born, bred, and baptized in the Catholic faith. We were forbidden to touch or look into the pages of the Bible; told that the interpretations of the scriptures were meant for the priests alone. Thank God for His move through Martin Luther. We can now have free access to the scriptures and study to show ourselves approved unto God. It is written: Study and be eager and do your utmost to present yourself to God approved( tested by trial), a workman who has no cause to be ashamed, correctly analyzing and accurately dividing{ rightly handling and skillfully teaching] the Word of Truth. 2Timothy2:15 Amplv When we critically examine the complex and elaborate ceremonies of what is considered high and low Mass, and the ritualistic prayers offered to the Saints and Mary in particular in outré disobedience to the Law of God that we should never communicate with the dead (necromancer), the transubstantiation rites and the unusual but highly structured ritual of the Roman Catholic Mass, we are left with no trace of doubt in our spirit, soul and body that the Roman Catholic Church has never been a Christian Church or may have been one initially but fallen out of grace to produce reprobates. This same spirit of the Harlot Church has taken over the daughters [the protestant churches] such that the last of the Pentecostal churches has become worse that her mother. They have gone ahead to commit the sin against the Holy Spirit. Behold the daughters have returned to their mother. Beloved the scripture reveals in Romans 1:21-25: Because that, when they know God, they glorify him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools. And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible men, and to birds and forefooted beast and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lust o their own heart, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves: who changed the truth of God into a lie, and WORSHIPPED AND SERVED THE CREATURE MORE THAN THE CREATOR,WHO IS BLESSED FOREVER. AMEN. Romans 1:21-25KJV We are faced with the hard road to reach God when Christ has broken the veil that separated us from God saying we should come in boldly into His throne of grace to find mercy. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrew4:16KJV. We have been forced to reject the simplicity of the gospel that is in Christ Jesus for another gospel. The scripture states in 2Corinthian11:3 that: For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. but I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. 2Corinthians11:2-3 KJV. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. Galatians1:8-9 KJV. A critical look at the word “Christmas is self-contradictory and the day 25th of December another lie presented to the world that Jesus was born on Christmas day. We have a couple of proofs we have seen in the scriptures: PROOF 1: The scripture reveals in Luke2:8-9 the state of the country and the climatic conditions that existed at the time Jesus Christ was born. And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo the Angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them and they were sore afraid.Luke2:8-9KJV. There is every reason to believe that shepherds in Palestine could not have taken their sheep out to the field in the night when temperature drops and in winter. The fact that they were “abiding in the field by night” shows that the temperature and the climate was conducive. Secondly, the statement showed that the shepherds had not yet brought home their flock they were still in the field. For these reasons December 25th which is a period of winter fixed for the birth of Jesus is another lie to Christianize paganism. It is noteworthy to mention here that Jesus was crucified at the time of Passover. But ye have a custom that I should release unto you one at the Passover. Will ye therefore that I release unto you the king of the Jews? John 18:39KJV. Jesus Christ spent three and a half years in the cause of His ministry and this would place the beginning of His Ministry at fall being that He was about thirty years old. And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli. Luke 3:23KJV The scripture reveals that for a man to become a minister under the old covenant he must be up to thirty years old. From thirty years and upwards even until fifty years old, every one that entereth into the service, for the work in the tabernacle of the congregation. Numbers 4:35KJV We figured it out that if Jesus Christ began His ministry in fall and turned thirty in the fall, there is a reason for us to believe that His birth was in fall. The scripture in Luke 2:1-5 also revealed that at the time of Jesus’ birth, Joseph and Mary were on their way to Bethlehem to pay their taxes. And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed (And this taxing was first made when cyrenius was governor of Syria). And all went to be taxed every one into his own city. And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth into Judea unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David :) To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child. Luke 2:1-5 KJV.

PROOF 2.We have come to another level of reasoning to show that the period of taxation could not have been during winter, the most acceptable time should be towards the end of harvest; that is towards the season of the feast of Tabernacles at Jerusalem. Now his parents went to Jerusalem every year at the feast of the Passover. Luke2:41 KJV. This also explains the reasons why there was a sudden increase in population at Bethlehem and according to the scriptures “There was no room in the inn” when they arrived. From the facts before us, we can safely conclude that the birth of Jesus was during fall when Joseph and Mary were to attend the feast as well as go to pay their tax. The early Christians commemorated the death of Christ because Jesus asked them to do so: For as often as ye eat this bread and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he comes. 1Corinthians 11:26 History informs us that the largest pagan religious cult named Mithraism fostered the celebration of December 25th as a holiday throughout the Roman and Greek worlds. The winter festival was called “the Nativity of the Sun”. This pagan festival of THE 25TH OF December was chosen by the Roman Church to be Christianized. The Catholic Encyclopedia, vol 3 page727 art. Christmas reveals: “The well-known solar feast of Natalis Invinci”- the Nativity of the Unconquered Sun celebrated on the “25th of DECEMBER HAS A STRONG CLAIM ON THE RESPONSIBILITIES FOR OUR DECEMBER DATE” We can see clearly how a pagan solar custom was being Christianized at Rome and handed down to us. The winter festival was a popular pagan feast, a period of rejoicing and festivity. Because the season was so popular it was adopted as the time of the birth of Christ by the Roman church. This did not change the manner, style of the celebrations as Christmas season, the holiday and the giving of gifts. The practice of exchanging presents during this festive period was part of the saturnalia so the argument by some who tried to link Christmas gifts with those presented to Jesus by the wise men is not correct.

PROOF 3: The Churches that have already built a manger at their altars awaiting a great cart away on Christmas day invites members to bring in and drop their gifts to plastic Jesus, Mary and Joseph in the presence of the plastic animals. The scripture revealed that when the wise men arrived Jesus was no longer lying in the manger but was in a house. When they had heard the king, they departed: and lo, the star, which they saw in the east went before them, till it came stood over where the young child was. When they saw the star they rejoiced with exceeding great joy. And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts: gold and frankincense and myrrh.Matthew2:9-11KJV The lifeless plastic baby doll named Jesus cannot be the true Jesus to be worshipped as Christ. God had written that we should not create anything in the likeness of the things in heaven or the things on earth nor should we worship them. Beloved it is time to obey God’s command rather than that of the devil.

THE CHRISTMAS TREE Beloved it is amazing that Pentecostal churches also joined this trend to celebrate the birth of Christ on the 25th of December. Many who claim they are not celebrating the birth of Jesus still decorated their churches with Christmas trees. The decoration of trees is part of the pagan worship at the time of Jeremiah. This is the exact practice of religious Christians who are not aware that such decorations bring in abominations into our lives. We provoke God when we do such things. The scripture states in Jeremiah 10:3-4 thus: For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers that it move not. They are upright as the palm tree but speak not. JEREMIAH 10:3-4KJV

This people as the scripture above describes actually idolized the tree. We may claim not to worship trees but for the very fact that we have partaken in such practices we have touched the unclean thing and become part of these pagan celebrations. We should not provoke God to jealousy by partaking in the celebration of Christmas. Christmas has nothing to do with Christ or Christianity.
