Kid’s building block sets help in developing both gross motor skills as well as fine skills because kids will requiremuscle movement and brain activity so as to put the blockstogether to make a specific shape or structure. Building block setsalso help in socializing skills of kids as they play with other children. When they play with other kids they exchange ideas and learn new things or simply interact with the other children and develop a vast variety of social observations and skills. Building blocks are also considered to be helpful in development of problem solving skills in children. These blocks are made up of various materials like wood, metal and plastic. They also come in different packages of numbers and colors that can help the child understand the assembly process in order to deviate from it and create something entirely new and independent. These Building block sets can be used by kids of any age. In daycare centers they use light weight blocks for building so that toddlers can easily handle them. They are soft and they will not harm the child as they are made up of foam and are completelynontoxic and the large sizes that the blocks come in make it impossible for a child to accidentally swallow any of the blocks. Wooden and plastic blocks for building are normally available at different sizes. They are also available in differing difficulties and parents can choose to keep buying new and more difficult building block sets as the child’s skill levels progress. There are various websites and toy stores that house entire ranges of these building toy block sets. Parents can go online and browse through all the available sets, their prices, the number and sizes of the blocks and so on. These blocks may also come in different themes and colors which make them even more attractive to children. As such, there are several companies that make and sell these building block sets in various difficulty levels. Parents are advised to start with the basic and big block size sets as they offer the required safety for the child. Since they are very simple, toddlers and small children can easily use them and there is no fear of any swallowing as such. A Building Block set maybe designed to come together to form a specific shape, object or structure or it may simply be free flow design which allows kids to engage in their creativity and building skills. Regardless of this classification however, it is safe to say that any set can allow the child to freely indulge in a free form of assembly which can create something unique and very special.
