This organization is busy in creating educational programs and extends opportunities for the affective participation of Americans in arts. She served National Awards programs for AFTA as a chairman since 1998. National Awards Programs, with in AFTA recognizes appreciates and highlights all the remarkable achievements of admirable Americans in the visual or performing arts, philanthropy, arts education corporate giving and advocacy. Mrs. Hearst has been involved in the renovation and reconstruction of hundreds of places of historical importance in U.S. She believes that history should be preserved for the coming generations so that there should be a link between past and the future. She has extended her support for the Metropolitan Museum and also been a member of the committee of photography for 15 years. Her role in the restoration of Walker Evans Archive is praise worthy. Veronica Hearst has also been working with White House Millennium Council. The main objectives and motives of this council are to conserve the history of U.S. it full fills its motives by recognizing, medaling and appreciating the eminent cultural and scientific contributions which Americans have made in 20th century.
