I just want to play around with this camera because the fact is, is that I’ve been trying a lot of new things over the last couple of months and I finally observed something I really like and has been doing the job effectively. Now, in this video, I’m going to share with you very, very shortly a little tip that I’ve been playing around with. And the thing is, is that lots of people have been asking me how do I get this little blurry blurry background in a great deal of my videos and get the focal point on just me. Going back a several months ago, I was kind of arranging about updating to a different camera and I’ve been using the Kodak Zi8 for a long time and you’ve seen lots of my videos where everything’s in high definition and the quality is quite good. It’s just that you don’t have that nice blurry background outcome and also focus on the camera. And also too, I needed a lot of extra equipment for instance lighting and also ensuring that I get the right facets from time to time to ensure that the camera records it the right way. Whereas this type of camera that I’m currently using now, which is the Canon T3i, I don’t really need to do several things. I don’t need much lighting on my face at this point in time. It is all totally applied by sunlight and the settings of the camera. That’s the powerful thing about acquiring an SLR camera such as the Canon T3i. So the whole principle is if you have a Canon SLR camera or any sort of camera, all you need to do is purchase a lens with a lesser F stop. What this means is actually the whole size of your lens and the lesser the whole size, the greater it concentrates on your point which is my face and let everything else blur in the background. And that’s to do with what we call the term aperture. The lower the F stop, the higher it is and the cost. It jumps up considerably in price from 1.8 down to 1.4. And the price distinction is roughly about $100 for this lens and about $300 for that other lens. You may see just a slight little quality variation. I get seen the minor little quality variation but I wasn’t interested in paying that extra because I don’t think my viewers like yourself would probably even detect. So really that’s how you do it. Just get a separate different lens. Be sure to have an SLR camera and a fixed lens creates a difference because then you don’t have to worry about improving the zoom and all that stuff and an F1.8 is more than sufficient enough to get that nice blur.
